Princess Castle

My very pink princess castle.  I really love this cake - so girly and pretty.  The bottom three tiers are filled with layers of white chocolate mudcake with strawberry buttercream.  All the decorations with the exception of the beads and the fairy are hand-moulded fondant. 

 My ugly bug cake!!  This was the first time I had attempted a round cake.  His body is cake with the tail and head hand-moulded in fondant.  My favorite part of this cake is the two little bugs - they are so cute.  Hope you enjoyed it Josh - happy birthday!!!

This mushroom cake was the biggest challenge I have given myself so far.  The cakes were strawberry cakes with strawberry buttercream.  The mushrooms and fairies were hand-moulded with fondant.  I am really happy with the final result.  Happy birthday Sophie!
