I made this cake for my sister for her birthday. I was really happy with it - I think it looks very girly and pretty. It is a carrot cake filled with lemon buttercream and iced and decorated with fondant.
Happy birthday Christine Anne - love you xx

Masquerade Cake
Had fun making this masquerade cake - hope you like it. The masks, draping and balls around the base are all in fondant. It was my first attempt at draping and I think it turned out ok.
This was my last class for this term. I now have a few weeks break and when I go back for my 3rd term we will be doing cupcakes and cookies. I've had a sneak peak at what we will be making and they look great so am really looking forward to starting.

Engagement Cake
With this cake I learnt how to marble the fondant and do the cut-outs along the sides. Ring box and lid made with fondant.
Baby Shower
I made this cake for my niece Sharon who had just had a beautiful baby girl, Holly. This was a white chocolate mud cake. The blocks, booties, bib and dummy were all made from fondant. The bib has a patchwork design over it with a lacy-look edging. The same quilted tiles are around the base of the cake.
This cake looks nice done in any pastel colour or even in a combination of colours.

Mothers Day Cakes
I made these two cakes for my mum and mum-in-law for mothers day. Both were fruit cakes covered and decorated in fondant.
Gift Box Cake
This was my first attempt at working with chocolate fondant and I also learnt how to do the embossing along the sides of the cake.

Celebration "explosion" Cake
This cake was a lot of fun to make. It can easily be adapted to suit any occasion. A change in colours or cut-out shapes can convert this cake to suit Valentines, Engagement or even a Baby Shower.
CAKE NO.1 - BRIAR ROSES
I decieded it was time to see if my dream of cake decorating could become a reality, so I enrolled myself into a cake decorating course to see how I would go.
This is my first cake - I was really happy with the result.
